James Cooper and James Kouzaris investigation Continues as Second suspect is named as 19 year old 'Steven Fields'

Police in Florida have named a second man they say was involved in the murder of two British tourists during a botched street robbery.

Investigators said they have evidence that places 19 year old Steven Fields in a rundown housing estate where James Kouzaris and James Cooper were shot dead in April.

The pair were found semi naked with multiple gunshot wounds after being hit as they attempted to flee from the Newtown area of Sarasota, Florida.

A 16 year old youth, Shawn Tyson, is in jail awaiting trial for their murder.

Bullets of the same calibre used in the killing were found at his home and he is alleged to have boasted about the double murder to friends telling them 'I did it.'

Tyson is alleged to have shot Cooper,25, from Warwickshire and Kouzaris,24,from Northamptonshire, after they failed to handover any money during the late night robbery.

Police have now revealed they have an eye witness that places Fields, who is currently in jail after violating the terms of his probation for a separate robbery charge, alongside Tyson on the night of the killings. Read More
