In the middle of the night on February 6, 2008, Alabama weatherman Dan Satterfield went on air to warn his viewers to take cover: a severe tornado was spinning through the Huntsville area. A tropical weather event could impact the St. Petersburg area as early as this weekend. The National Weather Service is advising citizens to monitor the tropical front.
